Apple Changes Name, Unveils iPhone

January 9th, 2007 (5,562 views) by Pinny Cohen

Apple iPhoneRumors surrounding an iPhone, or multimedia cell phone, have circled Apple for quite some time.  Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer proudly unveiled the iPhone, and stated that it will be the “ultimate digital device”. Shortly thereafter, Jobs renamed the company “Apple, Inc.” to reflect the many industries Apple has entered.

Some of the neat features it’s slated to have:

  • uses new “multitouch” technology
  • 2.0 Megapixel camera
  • 3.5 inch diagonal screen
  • Ipod technology enabled
  • visual voicemail

I’m looking forward to seeing this in the marketplace.  Then again, I’m not looking forward to the pricetag; $499.
