The Free Dictionary
Dictionaries are wonderful references to have on hand, aren’t they? The most noticeable flaw in a dictionary, however, is that you can’t hear each word being pronounced properly. As a result, you are unlikely to try out a new word in your next meeting, for fear of messing up on the pronunciation and being embarrassed.
TheFreeDictionary is a Web 2.0 online dictionary which solves that problem by letting you hear each word, as well as see the usual pronunciation instructions offline dictionaries have. Beyond that, you can also use the thesaurus function to find similar words, or even see excerpts from classic literature to understand the correct usage of the word you are looking up. Additionally, you can setup your own dictionary homepage, which comes complete with a “word of the day”, “quote of the day” and a Match Up game to practice your word skills.
It is hands down the best free dictionary online today.

http://www.urbandictionary.com - user generated defs. V. good for jargon and slang.
